Dirt and Daydreams

So this is it. This is the post where you’ll decide that there is NO WAY that Jennifer Dukes Lee could really be the wife of an Iowa farmer.

Come over to The High Calling today to laugh at … er, um … with me. Go ahead. I can take it.

(And for the record, I really am a farmer’s wife. But I am praying my husband won’t lose his good standing with the Future Farmers of America, which once gave him the Star Farmer Award, on account of me.)

Will you join me today, over to The High Calling today to read “How Does Your Garden Grow?”  Your gardening tips — and your stories of misadventure! — are welcomed.

Then, come back to see photographic evidence that miracles do happen. (Photos below!) I really did plant a garden. Green stuff really is coming up. And yes, the rows are actually kinda, sorta straight-ish.

Not to… um, well …doubt you or anything?

But I only see three farmers planting.

    You aren’t one of them…
