Breakfast with the Risen Christ

April 4, 2010 | 3 comments

As Christians, we often look for God in the lofty places — under the steeple, at the altar, in our usual Sunday pew. And yes, of course, He rules sovereign over those places.

But He is more. He reigns immensely bigger, and wider, and deeper. He is not hemmed in by manmade boundaries or constraints of religion.

If we aren’t looking closely, we might just miss the miracle of seeing the Resurrected Christ doing an extraordinary thing in the midst of our ordinary life.

Today, on this celebration of the Resurrection, I’m over at The High Calling. Will you join me there? We’re having breakfast with the Risen Christ …

Hi Jennifer — Just dropped a comment over at High Calling…

It was spirit warming to read about the cold … the breakfast..Jesus 😉 … Happy Easter, Jennifer.

This isn't the first time, we both wrote about the same thing… I just wrote about breakfast, too! 🙂

Yes–a true breakfast of champions. I also tend to find God in the least lofty of places imaginable. A blessed Easter to your family.

I often see Jesus more when I am away from church – he amazes me more in song and nature.
