When You Fall (A Video Message From Jennifer Lee)

February 21, 2012 | 24 comments

We can never fall so far that we’re out of God’s reach. He loves us anyway.

A vlog … (for sinners’ eyes only!)

P.S. — I did not, in fact, record the whole thing with my eyes closed, despite the picture you may see below. 🙂

I love this: she could have walked to the house.

But you knew what would most help heal her bruised heart as well as skinned knees, and did more than what was “necessary.” And He’s just like that, times infinity.

(Need I say, you and that swingset — all the way to the moon. Beautifully done. Beautifully.)

      Hi Lyla …

“Like that, times infinity.” True enough….

I don’t — nearly often enough — model the ways of my good and gracious Father. But when I do, I get a tiny taste of what deep agape love feels like. But still, it pales.

      Thank you friend.

I love the message of your video!

It reminds me of Psalm 37:23-24, “The steps of a man are established by the LORD, and He delights in his way. When he falls, he will not be hurled headlong, because the LORD is the One who holds his hand.”

    Have a blessed day!

And He never tires of running to the hurting, the bruised, those scraped up when they are trying to live joy…

I love hearing your stories in your own voice. Thank you, Jennifer.

It seems to me, often, that it’s my mama’s heart (or Lala’s heart, in this season of my life) that comes closest to loving like He does.

“Closest,” of course, is relative. It’s still a faint, faint echo of what He offers.

I love to read your blog … but I think your vlogs are even better cuz it’s like you’re right here talking with me! You put a beautiful vision in my head of our Heavenly Father running towards me with open arms welcoming me … I just love that. Thank you, both of your vlogs have been exactly what I needed to hear … and I love The Sidewalk Prophets 🙂

I love these video messages. You are so warm and real.

I do believe that there is hope for all of us. I’ve been learning about the Bad people of the bible…and surprisingly, they are also the heros in Hebrews 11.

Give me hope for my wretched self!

The running God…Yes! He is. Such a beautiful message, Jennifer. Stellar.

Did I tell you who was at Jubilee this weekend? Bob Goff! No kidding. He talked about whimsy too. I. Love. Him. And I was so glad you sent me that video so I felt like I knew him already. It was awesome and fun.

    Love you.

A mother does hear her child’s cry. I am so thankful that God is ever listening to us and he hears our cry.
