How to See With Your Ears

I realized it once while singing at the bedside of a dying man: Even though I can’t see God with my eyes, I catch glimpses of Him with my ears.

This week, we’ve been exploring the power of worship and song. I was so blessed by our discussion about worship here on Monday. Today, would you consider following me Faith Radio Net, where I’m guest-posting about how to “see” with your ears?  (Click here, to follow me there.)

Holy Holy Holy God inhabits the praises of His people. A friend told me of how his wife died. She had been confined to the bed for months but she suddenly she said she needed help, she sat up and then stood up…she said I want to being standing when Jesus comes for me. She stood said I see Jesus and took one step into His arms (and her husbands) and was gone. Thanks Jen, I think I see a bit of heaven each time I read your writing.

Seeing with your ears is a great way to put it. Yes, I’m thankful for what I see through what I hear, too!

Beautiful, Jennifer. Those old hymns have a way of taking us into His presence, even without any accompaniment, at least none we can hear.

Can you imagine finally stepping across that veil into the music! Thank you for your beautiful thoughts.
