To: Gentle reader(s) of “Getting Down With Jesus” (That means you, Mom!)

I recently joined a group of bloggers at HighCallingBlogs.com. It’s sort of like a big Sunday worship service — on steroids. We’re singing out of different hymnals, preaching different sermons and sharing God’s Word with the World Wide Web. All at once. And all for One. As in, for the Lord Most High.

The kind folks at HighCallingBlogs, asked if I’d post an article on my blog telling readers why I’ve joined their community. In case you think I’m all that and a bag of soynuts, keep this in mind: All new members to HighCallingBlogs are asked to post an article telling readers why they’ve joined the community. So that’s what I’m doing here. (Plus, I really do think it’s a pretty cool place to visit.)

I recently happened upon HighCallingBlogs after seeing the badge (above) on another blogger’s website. I followed the blogger’s suggestion to visit HighCallingBlogs. I clicked and, voila, magically stepped into the sanctuary of HighCallingBlogs. I quietly poked around, listened to the voices and came back the next day for another visit. I’ve been hooked ever since.

It’s an eclectic congregation, this HighCallingBlogs church. Here, I can read Love Notes to Yahweh, have my very own Holy Experience and get to know the BibleDude. We even have a Real Live Preacher. And there are lots of Red Letter Believers here. Oh, and after the service, in church-potluck style, I usually try out some spaghettipie.

As for me, I mostly sit in the back pew of HighCallingBlogs, feeding Cheerios from a Ziploc bag to my girls and hoping they don’t raise too much of a ruckus while I’m trying to hear the message. Anyhow, I’m enjoying this grace-filled place and thought you might like to take a look around, too.
