The Way You & God Wowed Us (And the Results of our Jewelry Giveaway)

One girl + one huge dream + God’s people in action = Jaw-dropping results!

It’s been one week since Lydia kicked off her fundraiser — a crazy-big dream to build a $5,000 playground. And we’ve been overwhelmed by the response. The orders poured in.  And she received some very generous donations, including a $40 donation from a seventh-grade girl who wants to travel to Haiti with Lydia someday to play on those swings.

But enough from me! Here’s Lydia, telling you about the success of this fundraiser so far. (Also, she also will reveal the winner of the ViBella necklace giveaway in the video!)

(RSS and email subscribers, click here to watch the video.)

Amazing, huh?

There’s still time to order. ViBella Jewelry has been so excited about this fundraiser, that they are extending the offer to donate 30 percent of all proceeds toward the playground. You can still over at www.ViBellaJewelry.com. Be sure to add “LYDIA LEE” in the special instructions!

Grateful for every one of you… To God be the Glory!

Love, Jennifer & Lydia

Oh my gosh! I want to squeeze the stuffing out of that sweet girl. I want Grace to meet her. I want Grace to swing on those swings. And I can’t wait until the winner finds out she won. I’m so cracking up–and so excited for what God’s doing.

Every kid deserves to play! That is a very quotable quote, Ms. Lydia Lee. Loved hearing and seeing Lydia talk so passionately about such a beautiful gift. You Lee girls really know how to love-you know that? In action and truth, not just words. Keeping this project in my prayers.

The odds are 1-in-125 (or more!) … I am serious about this. It was a totally legitimate draw from the pile of papers. You know that Lydia would never let me get away with rigging anything. I couldn’t believe it, though. God has such a tremendous sense of humor… 🙂

Thank you, Lyla, for supporting Lydia in this. You’re so good to our girls.

I am so late to this party, having been away and just catching up. But I am such a mess this morning of ridiculous happy tears! When we pray together for God’s kingdom on earth as it is in heaven, this is what it looks like. That Miss Lydia is already investing herself in kingdom work.

And when she pulled Lyla’s name out of the bowl? Priceless!

I agree 100% with Patricia! I want to be just like you, Lydia Lee, when I grow up! You have such a beautiful heart…the true heart of Jesus. He so loves the little children…ALL the children of the world. You done good girl, so much good! And the blessing to these sweet children continues. “Every kid deserves to play.” Can’t wait to see you sliding down that slide!

happy tears of how God uses His children to do such great work. Lydia, I am so proud of you and how you open your heart and your hands to do God’s work. I pray that soon you will find yourself in Haiti on that playground hooping and hollering with those kids going down slides and swinging up as high as the sky!

Oh, dear Lydia, I am celebrating your heart and your passion today. And I think that your playground project is going to be used by God in AMAZING WAYS.

And by the way, dear Lydia’s mom, your daughter reminds me a bit of her mama, too… beautiful and generous and chasing the heart of God in a contagious way!

    Blessings to both of you.

Hello Lydia. I told my 8-year-old daughter, Emma, about your love for the children of Haiti and how you are trying to raise $5,000 to build them a playground. After hearing your story, Emma asked if she could do a fundraising project to help people in need…I nearly squealed with delight. Just imagine if everyone reading this blog asked the same question. Thank you for letting your light shine. Thank you for making this world a brighter place. Thank you for blessing and inspiring us by sharing your story. And, thank you for giving God the glory. I am certain he is smiling down on you Lydia! On a side note, Emma asked if she could meet you someday. I think that would be a fabulous idea! Would you be open to that? I can’t wait to watch your video with her tonight. I’m also looking forward to watching a future video of you in Haiti playing with the children on their new playground. God bless you Lydia!
