A Working Vacation
I’m headed for “the Hill,” for a vacation with Jesus. It’s a working vacation, because I’m going there to serve Him, but it’s a vacation nonetheless.
The Hill is one of those places in my life where I feel such rest in my “work.” I am going to the Hill for a three-day retreat called Cursillo, an event that I’ve come to know as a “vacation with Jesus.” (And the coolest part about a vacation with Jesus is this: my Divine Travel Partner goes there with me, and He comes back home with me, too.)
It’s there, on the Hill, that I want to kick off my shoes and go barefoot as soon as I hit the front sidewalk. For I feel I’m standing on holy ground.
So for the next few days, I won’t be here, because I’ll be there, as a barefoot vacationer.
Earth is crammed with Heaven and every common bush afire with God. But only he who sees, takes off his shoes. — Elizabeth Barrett Browning

hmmmmmmm. I remember a post like this… has it been a full year????
Have a great time. I think you may run into LYNN BOEYINK there. If you do, tell her Sheri Boeyink says HI…. OK? (Lynn Rush is my pen name).
Have a blessed time!
Enjoy the respite from the snow, and the time with Abba… 🙂
Wow, why wasn’t I invited? Just kidding!
That’s so awesome. A time like this is much needed and so crucial. I think everyone should have a working vacation. I hope that your time there has made you refreshed, well rested, and rejuvinated in Him.
