15 Amazing Promises from God to You
Hey friend,
Maybe you needed to know this today: God’s got it, and God’s got you.
The whole of Scripture … points to a perfect Father.
Scriptures proclaims God’s promises for you,
His good plans for you,
and His perfect love for you.
Here are a few of my faves:
15 Amazing Promises from God to You
1 – You and God are inseparable.
“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
~ Romans 8:38-39
2 – You can’t do anything so horrible that God will abandon you.
” … he will never leave you nor forsake you.”
~ Deuteronomy 31:6
3 – He is able to do more than you thought to ask, and more than you dared hope.
“Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.”
~ Ephesians 3:20
4 – He’s got your back.
“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
~ Isaiah 41:10
5 – Your mess-ups do not disqualify you from God’s love.
“But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
~ Romans 5:8
6 – He is immeasurably better than duct tape. He’s the ultimate Fixer of Brokenness.
” In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
~ John 16:33
7 – God is keenly in tune with your every need.
“And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.”
~ Philippians 4:19
8 – The Holy Spirit is your 24-7 Helper.
“I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever.”
~ John 14:16
9 – He has a great purpose for you.
God’s gifts and God’s call are under full warranty—never canceled, never rescinded.
~ Romans 11:29 (The Message)
10 – He has great plans for you.
“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”
~ Jeremiah 29:11
11. God does not make you fend for yourself when you’re hurting.
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction so that we will be able to comfort those who are in any affliction with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.”
~ 2 Corinthians 1:3-4
12 — God is the ladder out of your deepest pit.
“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change and though the mountains slip into the heart of the sea; though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains quake at its swelling pride. ”
~ Psalm 46:1-3
13. God is the “rest” for your weary soul.
“Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”
~ Matthew 11:28-29
14. He is the peace to your troubled mind.
“And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.”
~ Philippians 4:7
15. He is the Signpost on the pathway of your life.
“I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you should go; I will counsel you with My eye upon you.”
~ Psalm 32:8
Which of these assurances speaks to you today? What Scriptural promises would you add to the list?

Jennifer, these are all keepers and great encouragers, but I just LITERALLY wrote to a friend about a path through the wildnerness, so I am particularly comforted by “signpost on the pathway.” But you know what, Jennifer? You’ve surprised me! I just re-read that more carefully, and you said HE is the signway on my pathway of life. Oh wow! That makes such a difference, and you remind me by this that HE is the WAY, the Truth, and the Life! I just need to go the Way of Jesus. I need to see HIM as my signpost and it is through Him that I journey. He’ll get me to where He wants me to be. He knows my address (I am always fond of saying). Thank you for sharing these truths, which are a tremendous encouragement, just as you, yourself, are. I appreciate you so much.
Love
Lynn
This is a great list! I am going to print it for myself but also send it to a friend who is going through some big struggles with her health, her marriage and is uncertain that the good God promises is even for her.
Thank you for sharing such beautiful truths and powerful promises. I especially like the Message phrasing of Romans 11:29 – God’s gifts and God’s call are under full warranty – never canceled, never rescinded. That’s good news in those lull times of waiting for His plans to come to fruition. And as one who has struggled in a season of grief, I find hope in knowing that one Day, tears will be no more.
Amazing reminders that God’s grace is always sufficient even in our darkest times. Thanks for the inspiration, Jennifer!
What perfect timing your post is, Jennifer. Just yesterday I made the decision to focus on studying God’s promises for me. I have challenged myself that before logging on to any social media site (throughout the day) that I would focus on this. I realized how much I need these reminders. So THANK YOU! Many blessings to you. xoxo
I love this compilation of God’s promises! They are some of my favorites! Another verse that has meant a lot to me lately is 1 Peter 5:10, “In his kindness God called you to share in his eternal glory by means of Christ Jesus. So after you have suffered a little while, he will restore, support, and strengthen you, and he will place you on a firm foundation.” (NLT). I have been through a lot over the last couple of years. The promise of restoration, support and strength is incredibly valuable to me. I am trusting in His goodness to deliver on the promise.
Blessings,
Kamea
Thank you for these amazing, hope-filled promises, Jennifer. I plan to add this post to my new links at my Hope Harbor page for this month. I love how God is a Fixer for our brokenness and He will never, ever leave us no matter what.
I love this post Jennifer. So encouraging!!!!! Thank you so much.
Still hanging out in Joshua 1:9. Not sure how long I’m supposed to stay, but apparently more months than I already have!
I’ve got a whole list! Feeding myself on the promises of God each day has done something down deep. And according to II Corinthians 1:20, we are to give affirmation to His promises. This too, does something amazing: http://www.arabahjoy.com/40-promises
