The Blessing
It is the Lord’s delight to bless you, friend.
May he fill your barn, water your parched land, bring His unique brand of peace to your very soul.
(Praying here for rain this week, for our very dry farm land. How can I pray for you? I so wish I could reach through the screen to squeeze your hand, and use my own voice to tell you how much I appreciate you. If my heart were a barn, it would be filled to the rafters with the joy of journeying with you.)
Linking with Deidra Riggs and Sandra Heska King this weekend…
It’s been soo hot here lately too but we’ve had rain thankfully. Praying some your way. Hope you have an answer to soak that thirsty soil soon.
Thank you for the prayers, Shelly. Corn leaves are curling. Ground is dry, dry, dry.
Nothing like a big red barn over the hill. May rain soak your crops soon. Blessings, indeed, from our God.
Thank you, Dawn … Thank you.
I love a red barn nestled in a sea of green.
We desperately need the blessing of rain over here too.
Praying with you, too, Thelma. May God reign and rain! 🙂
I am in Oregon and up to a few days ago we have had wet ‘cool summer’ days… I don’t like the hot sunny days…I am a fall ‘person’.
Hi Sharon! Isn’t that amazing, how you’re having so much wet weather over your way? We’re dry as can be here.
The other day Nashville was the hottest city in the country…my husband and I were just talking this morning about the farmers…this drought affects so many…the fireworks people lost so much money because of the burn band through out middle Tn…friend’s peach farm…small hard peaches today…the list goes on…our prayers go out to you and other farmers who are trusting God to pour out rain upon them…but also…may you feel His Love, Grace and Peace pouring out from His storehouse upon your family.
You are so right… Many, many folks are affected. And ultimately, this would affect the consumer, who will have to pay higher prices for food. Dear Lord, help us all…
(Thank you, friend!)
I love your graphics with the photo, it brings out the point I think. A beautiful and inspiring post!
I’m thanking God for a lot of rain here today. Praying the same will come your way, friend.
Still praying for you as well, Monica. I need to catch up with you. … How are you doing?
That looks much like the land around here. Blessings of rain for all of you.
We live in beautiful country, don’t we, Susan?
Dropping in from Sandra’s, and wishing raindrops galore for your dry farmland and for your soul. Our family in TN is praying for the same as are the other states so drastically affected by the heat and drought.
Praying for you fine folks as well. May he rain and reign down… upon us all.
Praying that God brings rain to soak your crops and land.
{and I need to figure out how to do that dark bar across the photo with the text – do you use PicMonkey to do that…or something fancier?)
Thank you Michelle … Will send you instructions via Facebook for the dark bar across the photo, in case you don’t come back to see the comments.
Yes, Picmonkey.
Upload photo.
Click on “overlays.”
Pick “geometric.”
Stretch the rectangle across.
In the pop-up, adjust your fade, and your color, and blend mode.
There you have it!
Oh, dear, Dear. Yes, the rain issue is hitting us hard… the LACK of rain. Only the Lord can break through for us in this weather-plus situation. You’re on my heart.
Seeing your farm reminds me that my brother just took photos of the old family cotton farm. It looks quite different, but precious in its poverty.
He provides in every way we need it (even if we don’t realize it), doesn’t He? Beautiful photo.
We have had three days of torrential rain. And to be honest, I dont how to feel about it. “God, where was this three weeks ago?”
