Two Jennifers and a Work of Art
I asked the other Jennifer, Could she?
And she answered, Of course!
So I gathered the old news clippings, the college newspaper column I wrote a bazillion years ago, and the business cards from the Sacramento Bee, the Omaha World-Herald and The Des Moines Register. I photocopied my devotional that is a part of Tyndale’s The One-Year Life Verse Devotional, along with some other words I’ve tapped out here on these keys.
I stuffed all of it in a manila envelope, along with a check, and sent it to Jennifer of Studio JRU in Nebraska. On the memo line of the check, I wrote the words: “God-glorifying art.” Because I just KNEW that it would be! And it is.
This work of art arrived on my doorstep this week, and I am in awe of Jennifer’s ability to take my fuzzy idea and turn it into a work of art!
On her blog, Jennifer of Studio JRU writes: “People may compliment my art but really it is God working through me…I merely hold the paint brush as He miraculously holds me through whatever may come in this life.”
This weekend, kind friends, may we see the ways that God is shaping our lives into works of art. In all things, may we find our lives shaped by a cross, and by this God who has “all of our days written in His book.”

Yowza! That's so beutiful! I've featured a work of art from Jennifer today on my blog as well. She does a beautiful job, and she is a beautiful woman of God.
I mean beautiful.
So beautiful…Happy Mother's Day to you sister and God bless.
How interesting and unique . . and I love the thought of Christ being the author of my life story. No one to do it better though sometimes the trust isn't easy but as I'm drawing near I'm finding it becomes easier. Seeing Him work in your life and truly getting to know Him one-on-one is tremendous.
