You’re welcome

Lights out, and I brush a good-night kiss across Anna’s forehead as she wraps arms tightly around my neck.

“You’re so sweet, Anna. You give the best hugs EVER,” I whisper, then wait for her signature response. It’s never thank you. Never.

It’s always this: “You’re welcome.”

The four-year-old senses the unspoken “thank you,” and the deep gratitude I have for who she is. She hears “thank you” without my ever uttering the words. So she always responds, “You’re welcome.”

Today, I offer a picture collage of gratitude for the Giver of all Gifts.

Fourteen memories. Fourteen photographed blessings of spring. Fourteen ways to say “thank you” without ever uttering the words.

I can hear His holy “You’re welcome” in my spirit. May He sense my deepest thanks in His.

He would hear the “thank you.”

    He would whisper “you’re welcome.”

And He would do all He could to delay you unwrapping arms from tightly ’round His neck.

love this, jennifer!! and loved the slide show…especially the corn poppin’ up in rows! (i have always loved this tim mcgraw song… my displaced country girl heart is moved!) i was with family in my native MI last week and was treated to some of the sights you showed–farm land, green fields, farmers out planting corn (my nephew being one of those!)… wide open spaces. thanks for sharing! : ) and i’m sure your Father is saying ‘you’re welcome, my child! it is My pleasure!’

Aw, that is so inspiring! This was truly beautiful and something I, myself, needed to see so thank YOU! My favorite, well I had a few, but I really, really like ‘Grace between hard places’ photo the best. It truly is a visual aid for being stuck between a rock and a hard place to the test of what His grace can do to still be the giver of life.

I also loved the steeple of your church pointing it’s way upward, toward Home. That was very lovely; lovely indeed! Super sweet! Very thoughtful and easy to embrace! Oh, and of course I can’t forget I loved the ‘gab with room to grow’…very awesome for sure!!

    Love and hugs,
    Sarah

PS…By the way I had to ‘trash my previous comment because it had too many grammer errors…. 😀

What beautiful country you’re surrounded by. I think I’m jealous. Lovely pictures, Jennifer, and a great song to go along with them.

The unspoken “thank you” noticed by a child? How endearing!
And, the spoken “Your welcome” by the Holy Spirit to you? priceless!
    How sweet He is!
