The other day, I was at the bookstore and saw an entire shelf of books for sale under the heading “Finding Happiness.” I have read many of those books, and they are full of fascinating research and fun stories. But all of those books on that shelf are missing one thing. They are missing the source of deepest happiness, Jesus Christ.

That’s why I wrote The Happiness Dare: Pursuing Your Heart’s Deepest, Holiest, and Most Vulnerable Desire.

I had to know what it really meant to be happy. I had to know if, as as Christian, it was okay to desire happiness. I had all the questions you might be asking:

Does God actually want us to be happy? Is happiness shallow? Does God care only about our holiness, instead of our happiness? Isn’t it joy that we’re really after?

I started asking those questions nearly two years ago. That’s when I embarked on a terrific dare from God to find out the answers. That dare led me to write a book.

I wrote that book for my own heart, but I also wrote it for you. You are the reason the dare turned into a book.

The book comes out August 2, 2016. And I would love your help in bringing this message of happiness and hope to a world desperately in need of the source of both.

What is a launch team?

A launch team is a group of 200-300 people who are excited about the message, joining to help spread the word about the book in a variety of ways. But our launch team is more than a launch team. First, I truly want you to experience happiness the way our Father intended. Second, when we dive into happiness together, we can ignite a flame through our families, communities, and beyond. We’ll encourage each other and those around us to experience a true, deep happiness.
